Commiserations to our fantastic England Football Team - there’s always the World Cup! 🏴
On the back of an agonising loss, Richard Holden MP had the following to say:
"Can I first of all extend my congratulations to an England side that keeps on getting so far in international cup competitions and giving England fans something to be excited about. The boys last night took us all the way to our first final on foreign soil but it just wasn’t our night.
"The fans who cheer for England all the way from the terraces, down the pub, or on their sofa, will all be behind you for the 2026 World Cup in North America. The pain will soon pass and we will be ready to go again.
"I think this letter from HM The King summed it up just about right, when he wrote to Gareth Southgate to say: “Although victory may have eluded you this evening, nevertheless my wife and I join all my family in urging you and your support team to hold your heads high” and I very much agree."
