Richard Holden MP's Good News Story of the Week concerned a constituent who was struggling with Disability Living Allowance.
Richard said:
"Mr X of Basildon got in touch regarding their child’s disability living allowance (DLA). This allowance helps support families with children with disabilities and additional needs.
"Almost 6 months ago, Mr X had requested additional support for his child but the cogs in the system were proving really slow, so he got in touch with me just a couple of weeks after I was elected.
"My team chased the situation down for him and his child with the DWP and within a couple of days they got back saying that all the process had now been completed and awarding them the support needed."
