Richard attended the official opening of the new Post Office branch on Billericay High Street.
Located at 103C High Street (formerly Colebys Jewellers) this new branch will provide important services to local people and replaces the branch that closed at the start of November.
“It was great to join Postmaster Jeff Roberts, sub-postmaster Kanagasundaram King and the team at the official opening of the new Billericay Post Office. With so many banks now not having a high street presence, the Post Office is vital as a hub for financial services too.
“There has been a huge amount of work led by Basildon Council councillors especially Cllr Andrew Schrader – as well as my predecessor John Baron - to make sure we safeguarded this important service for residents.”
