Richard recently met with Buttsbury Primary School when their Deputy Headteacher visited Parliament.
Speaking after the meeting, Richard said:
"I met Mr Graves, the Deputy Headteacher, and Ms Hall of Buttsbury Primary School in Parliament to celebrate them achieving accreditation with the British Council International School Award (ISA)!
The British Council’s ISA is a framework for schools to incorporate international elements to their curriculum teaching, in Buttsbury’s case a fantastic link up with a school in our Commonwealth partner Kenya! This helps prepare young people for work in a global economy by increasing their understanding of other languages, cultures but more importantly the things that we all have in common.
A huge congratulations to all the team at Buttsbury on this great acheivement for a fantastic local school and I look forward to visiting them very soon!"
