Local MP welcomes Essex County Council's backing for the campaign against Mega Pylons.
Richard Holden MP says: "There is the prospect of scores of 160ft high mega-pylons being built right down the side of Billericay, Laindon and Little Burstead. Essex County Council are continuing their opposition to the project because alternatives have not been properly examined when countries like Germany are now pursuing an 'underground first' option - like was suggested in the Conservative Party manifesto."
