Richard's Good News Story of the Week concerned a constituent who her bank account frozen:
"There is nothing better than passing on good news to my constituents in Basildon and Billericay.
"The ways we bank have been transformed in recent years, but when you can’t access those funds, it can put your whole life on hold. I was contacted by Mrs H who had a blockage placed on her bank account, through no fault of her own. For nearly a month she had been unable to pay bills and purchase groceries.
"We contacted the bank in question who investigated and found there had been an error on their side. Mrs H now has access to her funds and has been offered compensation by her bank as well!
"As always, my team and I are here to help constituents. We can’t promise a win in every situation, but we will always do our best to try and help."
