The Arts Minister, Lord Parkinson, visited North West Durham with Richard Holden, touring some of the very best art locations in the North East.
In a statement, Richard said:
"It was fantastic to have Lord Parkinson visit both Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens & The Roxy in #Leadgate with me last night and this morning. It is always a delight to show Ministers what great stuff is happening in our area and it helps put us in the map and in the minds of decision makers in Government.
"We absolutely need to show off our county to the best extent.
"I hope that City of Culture for County Durham (Durham 2025) make the best bid possible with the judges visiting on Monday as they decide on the list from the final four to the final two!"
